ABOUT

I am a Postdoctoral Scholar at The 2035 Initiative at UC Santa Barbara, broadly focused on climate and energy policymaking. In particular, I am working to develop and advance policy solutions to industrial decarbonization in the U.S. and to identify other near-term climate policymaking opportunities around the world.

I earned a PhD from the Department of Political Science at UC Santa Barbara, where I studied representation and political behavior; public policymaking; and climate/energy politics. I have a specific institutional interest in the U.S. Congress.

My dissertation work examined the drivers of citizen and group engagement in federal policymaking efforts, with a focus on recent climate and energy policy change.

Before graduate school, I earned a B.A. in political science from the University of Central Florida. You can find my CV, teaching experience, and Twitter account linked above.
