Dr. Olivia B. Quinn

I am a Postdoctoral Scholar at The 2035 Initiative at UC Santa Barbara, broadly focused on climate and energy policymaking. In particular, I am working to develop and advance policy solutions to industrial decarbonization in the U.S. and to identify other near-term climate policymaking opportunities around the world.

I earned a PhD from the Department of Political Science at UC Santa Barbara, where I studied representation and political behavior; public policymaking; and climate/energy politics. I have a specific institutional interest in the U.S. Congress. 

My dissertation work examined the drivers of citizen and interest group engagement in public policymaking in general, and in climate policy debates in particular.

Before graduate school, I earned a B.A. in political science from the University of Central Florida. You can find my CV, teaching experience, and social media accounts linked above.
